In this work I used pencil and paint. I wanted to keep the person in black and white because I thought this would look effective and bold. Also, I feel the black and white meant that the design in the background stood out more. I also added gold to the peacock feathers to make them stand out. I was inspired by images of hindu gods and goddesses and the vibrant colours used in the images that depict them.
