Here I mapped out the sections of the roses using watery paint.I wanted to use the colours blue, yellow and pink as I thought these colours complemented each other. Also, I painted some parts darker than others to give myself a gude as to where the other colours would go in order to create tone. I was inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh's flowers and the way he creates sections in his images.
I added other colours that would bring out the original colour of the roses. Also, I felt It would be more interesting to use different colours to create tone.
Finally, I put in the green leaves in the background a blue wash. Also, I was careful to use a darker ble when close to the edges of the flowers to make them pop.
